Default subaru EA-81 instal

The engine I plan to install is an EA-81 designed to produce 85-100hp. This specific one was made by a company called RAM Performance which modified it to produce a little more power. The engine was crashed on a Pelican then rebuilt by RAM and now I have it.
I know that EA-81s have been installed on kitfoxes in the past but I can't seem to find one recent so I found a local welder who will creat an engine mounting system as long as I can get him how the engine's thrust line should be in relation to the aircraft's CG. How do I do this.

I've heard that Steve Winder at Airdale in Idaho has fabricated mounts for the EA81. As I understand it he just needs to know which model KF it's for and he's done several of them. I've done a bit of research on the EA81 and it seems that there are other sources for long block rebuilds by some auto specialists who are very familiar with the methods of safely bringing them out to 100hp.. They modify the cams and do a few other things. Their prices make some of the "aircraft" specialists' seem a little out of hand. I'm leaning in that direction myself.

Is there a way for me to contact Mr. Winder? Once I have the information needed to put the engine in the right place I con give that information to the this local EAA engine mount builder and he can put it together.

Here's Airdale's site http://airdale.com/ There's contact info there. Try calling but email might be best as I know Steve goes to England a lot but keeps up with his mail. Hope all this is current. Last year I met a guy that was towing his Avid at a rest stop. Steve had just helped him finish assembly, covering, and mounting an E-81. It looked to me like some fine work and the guy told me Steve really knows his stuff. The engine was from Stratus. Good luck & please keep us posted.
