Just wondering which heat gun and Iron people have used for Oratex if it wasn't the factory suggested ones.
Seems like a big premium to get the suggest ones as they come form Germany.

I have the ones that Better Aircraft Fabric sells but as we sometimes do, I patronized the small business we get our stuff from so you might say I over paid. Those heat guns and irons are available all over the internet at about $50 cheaper per item. Consider what it will cost if you over shrink the Oratex with low quality tools.

IMHO the Steinel heat gun and Toko iron are the only way to go. They both are high quality and using an infrared thermometer are very accurate. Go cheap and I'm fairly sure you'll regret it especially with the price of the Oratex fabric.

Yeah, I'm just going to get the suggested ones. Looking around there's too many choices and too many variables I don't know.
