What length boat trailer would you recommend to modify for my IV Classic?
There’s a 17 footer and another far heavier 20 footer both available locally for under $400.

Hey Jon, you saw mine quite awhile back. Your always welcome to come by again. Its for a ss7 but the length is 22.5'. I put light springs on it but it is a very heavy duty trailer. I get a little bit of bounce at 40mph. Probably a lighter trailet would not bounce.

A pontoon boat trailer is a good start for a kitfox transporter. I purchased a new one without bunks from Mid America Trailer Sales in 2013 for about $1500. It can be seen on the sticky video about trailering a SS7
The pontoon boat trailer I purchase is a Mid America model PT22/13, It is advertised as for a 21 ft to 23 ft boat weighing no more that 2500 lb. I specified no bunks but to retain the access ladder and winch mount. In retrospect I would also have specified no winch as it comes with a hand winch and a 12V with wireless remote is required. Have had no problems trailering except a batten for the elevator is an absolute necessity as wind force from trailering and things such as a semi's passing blast will flop the elevator up and down.

We’ve got 400+ coming for the Skydiving Hall of Fame inductions and a BBQ, then the following weekend we have a wingsuit world record attempt and to cap the month off our annual Turkey Meet. We just opened a new cafe and changed bar management. Change can be good but sheesh! This is gonna be a busy month!

I see from Bartman's photo that the plane is being winched up by the tail spring. I have been doing the same but it has caused my hardware to loosen. I figure it probably cant be doing that tail spring and attaching hardware any good. Im thinking of trying long straps attached to the main gear to pull it up the ramps. Any thoughts from anyone?
