For those nearby, EAA-501 has its 25th annual fly-in in Orange County airport, NY, on Saturday September 8. (See www.eaa501.org)
I may take part in my first fly-in. All I need to do is taxi to the transient parking area...

Was there to check the propeller pitch anyhow, so took the spider webs out of the cowlings, dressed it up and went out as a token of support for '501.
(Taxiing was much better after taking out 1.5 degrees from the prop)
The weather did not cooperate and 1/2 a dozen planes (or less) showed up.
Three of them, a former soviet block trainer (170 gph fuel burn!!!), a Pulsar and my KF just taxied in. The Pulsar beat me to the trophy for the shortest distance traveled to the fly-in. (If there was such a thing.)
An interesting visitor, which I saw in person for the first time, was a Rutan Defiant.
Back to the propeller now ...
Roberto.

I was there yesterday and talked to you for a little while. Too bad the weather kept everyone from flying in.
