After attaching the vertical stabilizer fiberglass fairing, I filled that joint with foam and after sanding to shape, covered it with a thin layer of fiberglass.

phintz have you watched the installation video? It is not airplane specific, but Definately worth watching. A couple photos attached of how we finished this section off on out KF7.

First one is with the primer/paint on before covering, second is with the belly fabric on.

Last one is how it looks with final paint and rudder in place.
