    I downloaded the Van's RV12/Rotax 912uls electrical schematic and it showed shielded wire only for the R&L ignition wires, so that's what I did. Been working fine.

    Thanks Jim. The kitfox schematic doesn’t show which ignition is L or R. Does it make a difference?

    With a Rotax it shouldn’t make any difference, Josh. If it was a Lycoming with an impulse coupling on the left mag, and you’re using a conventional Bendix-style keyed ignition switch, it would. Rotax marks the ignition modules “A” & “B”, and you could call either one whatever you want.
