A friend asked me the other day if the 912 has a time in service requirement for overhaul. He's about to do an annual on a certified motor glider. Anyone know?

Hi,
I am by no means a Rotax expert, but I have done my homework on my own 912ULS.
The TBO goes by serial number and year manufactured, there are also service bulletins that can extend the older engines tbo's .
My particular 912 ULS with the bulletins complied with, has a 1500 hr TBO. I think I did read somewhere that 1500 hrs or 10 years service applies as well for overhaul ( in the Line maintenance manual I think ).
I am trying to follow the certifed rules, even though my engine is the non certified 912ULS.
I use the site rotaxowner.com for allot of info on the 912 as well.
I hope this helps out, Kevin
