Desertfox1 and myself flew out to Indian Hills airpark for the weekend. Stayed at my brothers winter home on the airpark. It was so quiet and peaceful. Really a much needed relaxing weekend.
We flew Papa's 7 SS. Had a great time and the weather, perfect. Took a little GoPro video off Papa'a left wing strut on the way back in to Chandler.
It has natural sound ( wind noise ). About 22 minutes of just desert flying with lots and lots of blue sky. Getting nice here now. High temps were maybe only 95 or so. Evenings in the upper 50's low 60's.

Yesterday I took the little Kitfox Spy Plane for its monthly flight around the valley to see what's new. Lots of construction going on, mostly new barns.

First up the canyon to check on the hunter camps. These guys don't seem to camp like I did when I was a deer hunter. Not many tents any more.

    Look at all that plywood. The center section is 160' X 80'. 10 16 14 2.jpg

Looks like he's building more storage space. All those rusty things are iron wheel tractors.

One day I was walking by his place and he invited me in to see his collection. He is about 65 and said he started collecting them when he was 12 years old. He has some of the big ones that were used to bust the prairie. The tin sheds are packed so full of tractors you can't walk between them. He said, "Climb up and walk across the top of em".

It wasn't Paul Jim. Paul was going to meet us Saturday morning, but couldn't make it. The other Kitfox was a local SLSA from Idaho.

Excellent I love the day break photo. I back in the Flat Lands, so nothing comparison, I am truly envious!

I'm going out later today to do some more touch & go practice in my new Tail Dragger. I resolve the Rotax Float issue, and Steve signed her off. I hope I don't have to many "god awful" landings.

I found a couple of Grass strips in the area, I think I'll see how bad I can tear them up! I was looking at the Texas Airport guide and I probable found 15 in the area that are open to the public.
