When I checked the toe in, I pulled a line from the tailwheel centered between the mains which were raised off the ground. Put a nail on each end of mark to hook with a tape measure, so I could accurately measure by myself. Put a mark on the wheel, and measured to that same mark in front and back of the wheel back to that center line. By measuring to the same mark on the tire, any bulges or bent rim is taken out of the equation. JImChuk
