So, what is the truck to get right control pivot to “turn in” after opening up the hole?

I’d like to bump this and add I’m having the same problem. I’m gonna need to practically trim out the reinforcement circle to get it in place!
Keep working with it, trying different angles while twisting. It will go in without much force.

Thanks for the quick reply. I might have to do that; use force. I just took some pictures of it and you can see there's a long way to go before it will fit. I even ground down the flange to help it clear.

That is a drag. I remember it being just as Jim says. I thought, WTH?, no way is thiii, oh, it dropped in. Granted, I did a little widdling as well before it fit.

I just put that piece in and I had to grind from where your piece is now around the top of the hole then stick a screw driver in the hole of the part you are trying to get in an PRY pretty hard to pop it in. I think a bolt on wing would be a good improvement on that piece.
Be sure and get the paint out before you press the bearings in also.
