A non-steerable, castering tailwheel would not be my first choice for our short coupled aircraft.
Possibly the locking design, but IMO, the Matco design is a better fit.
i use a locking tailwheel, not that brand, i love it

Please elaborate! I have read many positive reasons for using a locking tailwheel. Can you provide your experience?
Who is the manufacturer of your tailwheel?

line up for takeof lock tw go, leave locked land ,slow down 10 -15 unlock use brake and rudder to steer. NO groundloop tendencys at all. i made it myself.
Don't hold us in suspense. Please post the details/pictures of your tailwheel. Are you possibly going to produce it for sale?

Jeff, we've heard good things about Jim's tailwheel. As I understand the pilot can dial in more or less built in tension like we do in our nosewheel aircraft.
Along with the locking ability that adjustable pre-tension really sounds appealing.
