Hi everyone, no obligation but just by my house they are putting in a new airport. This airport is 100% owned by pilots and aviation businesses who want security in owning their own facility. Lots of people are for this airport but naturally a few are against it. Here is a little info on the airport
Parkland Airport is initially designed to provide an East/West asphalt runway. Phase 1 will be 2600'X100' and if the weather cooperates this fall, it will go straight to Phase 2 which is a 4900'X100' runway. This will also include taxiways, aprons, terminal building, and areas for general aviation services.
