Pulled the trigger on new hinges yesterday. About $440 for hinges and doublers plus the stainless rivets required if you can't source them locally. After a closer look at the installation process in the Series 7 manual it definitely is an improvement over the double hinges. Deb did sat they were a little backed up on orders so it might be a while.

Got the doublers installed with no problem on my Series 5 wing. Before I drill the capstrips for the hangers could someone (Jeff, Carl Eddie) measure the distance from the edge of the capstrip to the edge of the drilled hole for the pop rivet. Even centered on the capstrip the holes are pretty close to the edge. Just makes me a little nervous. Thanks in advance.

unfortunately (or fortunately for me) my wings are now covered. even Rib number one has fabric covering my rivets so I can't really help. Carl has an uncovered wing as of yet. Maybe he can help.

I just finished covering my wings...
BUT! I remember thinking the same but the rib reinforcements stick out a bit and there is enough edge material on the doublers so you should be OK as long as you are using only 1 standard washer as a spacer.

Thanks for the info. I have a couple ribs where the capstrip wasn't centered on the rib so I'll probably just narrow the gap between the hangers to get a little more material. Thanks again.
