Sometimes you get to fly and enjoy golf the same day, and yesterday was one of those days.
Plan was for KitFox Jim and myself to fly our Foxes about 80 miles to a course that is next to an airport in South Central Alberta. Skies were nice on the trip south at 9 in the morning.

My Model IV sitting on the ramp waiting patiently while I go hit a little white ball. The electric prop has helped performance and it is cool to flip a switch and watch the RPM go down and the speed go up.

This is a view of one of the fairways on the course the Town is called Vulcan.
Mr Spock did not show up.

We allow the 195 to fly with us because it is the original round cowl airplane.

Had a great day on the course and the winds were light all day. We ended up with 10mph or so on the nose both ways.
My route to and from Vulcan cuts through the Calgary airspace and so I am limited to 4800ft cieling. The ground is about 3400 at home so it leaves about 1000 ft AGL. It was a little bumpy in the prairie sky but nothing unmanageable. All in all a nice day.

Sorry about the Photo quality. The phone just does not work as well as my camera but it is quick and easy and probably keeps memories that I might not othewise have.

When I rebuilt the KitFox I added a Baggage compartment A La Arizona.
This is the way DF4 showed me to put more space in a KitFox
The clubs sit nicely into the compartment with the heads of the clubs going into the passenger seat.
I use the passenger seat belt to secure them.
The 195 took the fourth for our group. KitFox Jim fits his clubs in the same way.

Attending the Valdez STOL Flyin, I got to watch Dave Baldwin, & Jay Laxson as they arrived. Beautiful sunny cool day, not much wind couldn't be a better day. Too bad I had to come via Alaska Air!

We have a new KitFoxer in the Calgary Area. SwiftFox brought a ModelIV from Central Canada to Alberta last week. KitFox Jim and SwiftFox flew to the Sundre Mother's day FlyIn. I was there early and the three KitFox parked together close to the breakfast line.

After growlies we headed west to the Red Deer Forestry Strip. SwiftFox flew beside me and let me snap this shot.

Here the three of us enjoy the view.
    Great Morning Flying.

By the way more people were checking out the KitFoxes than other planes at the breakfast.
