Where did you all sleep?

This is just a 20 mile flight from the airpark all these folks live at.
In this area there are literally hundreds to thousands of these little spots to land on. It’s mostly BLM land around this area.
The photos below were taken Friday after a breakfast flight to Wayside cafe out by Alamo Lake. I think a dozen aircraft launched from the airpark. Photos show all that is left of one of General George Patton’s desert tank training bases S.E. of Bouse,AZ. It was a large complex with many barracks and at the time highly top secret. Many young men trained from here met up with Hitler’s Panzer crews in Africa and Italy. Many did not return home. From the air you can still see lots of narrow gauge tank tracks running from the base out into the desert.

Had the pleasure of flying with Kevin (FarmBoy) visiting from Northern Iowa. Kevin owns a nice model 6 back home.
