Default Fuel primer line failed in my IV with 582

It was going to be the big day. Running the engine and doing the break-in. I was smart enough to do this in the front yard. I added some fuel, then turned on the fuel selector. Next thing I know, I'm killing the grass! The primer line split right above the gascolator. i'm glad I wasn't in the barn and it was forward of the firewall. It's the smallest aluminum tube I have ever seen. I went to the LEAF catalog first, but all I see is plastic tubes. will this be a Kitfox item? How many shots of primer does this engine usually need to start? I think it's funny it has a primer and a choke. Like wearing a belt and suspenders!
    Thanks,
    Jay

I just use the choke on mine. No need for the primer.

Thanks Paul, I just got the new line from Spruce today. I hope to try again this weekend.
