Default Recent Kitfox Convert, and Intro

Hello everyone, I just got back from OshKosh and spent some time at the KitFox booth. I’m hooked and am looking forward to learning from all of you!

The visibility, speed (and slowness), and the solid feel of the airplane are what really sold me.

I’m an A&P working mainly in avionics at Y14 (Tea, SD, a suburb of Sioux Falls), so if any of you need a transponder check stop by and I’d love to chat about Kitfoxes or airplanes in general.

Now to figure out the finances...

Yes, Lincoln County! I’m the newest mechanic at the FBO there, and I’ve become a fan of the airport quickly. It reminds me of what the “good ol’ days” were supposed to be like. There’s an active 141 flight school, relatively cheap fuel, and LOTS of homebuilts. It’s a fun airport.

The coolest thing about old school places is the "airport car" and the ability to walk around the hangars. Becoming rare these days.
