    Default Trim indicator (Dynon )

    Today 05:46 PMsilvaleonardo
Hi all.....Just finished installing all Dynon stuff, before continuing it will be nice to have the trim positioning indicator on screen, there is a wire coming from the EMS module (pin 23 Purple/green) Elevator position potentiometer. Any body use this? And what kind of potentiometer can I use? Is this possible?

Thank you, I got a Ray Allen sensor from Spruce but haven't figure it out a way to connect.

Here is a shot of my D180 Dynon with the trim indicator circled.

I have a Ray Allen servo controlling my trim tab. This is using the internal feedback circuitry in the unit. The white arrows show the position of the tab in it's throw, the vertical rectangle, and the green line is the position I assigned as "neutral". There is also a mark (not easily seen in the photo) that indicates a "takeoff" position.

Thanks for the input.....Think I'm getting close, in my installation don't have the servo, just the Ray Allen position sensor, it has 3 wires, green, orange and blue, the EMS unit has only one or maybe two if ground is to be used. How will be the way to connect to make it work?

A photo of the trim position sensor that I purchased from Kitfox. I have not had a chance to test this yet so, I can't tell you how well it works.
