    Default Attaching aeroquip ends

Im attempting the attachment of an fittings to the 3/8 aeroquip fuel hose supplied in my o-200 fwf kit. My problem is that after putting the end on the hose, i can see that the internal rubber gets cut, and is peeling back internally. Suggestiins? Ken

I tried oil and then i tried the wife's eucerin to get it to slide. I tried 4 times with the same results.

    Ken,

I could be wrong; but, isn't there supposed to be a mandrel to use on the fitting which fits into the hose and guides the fitting onto the hose?

Yes dave, or you can use a male fitting. Either way, i had gotten the fitting in, but it cuts the inside of the tube.

But maybe the mandrel would solve the problem.

Thanks to both of you. A mandrel goes on the next aircraft spruce order. Ken
