Had that happen to one of my carbs . Welded a non lock nut onto the top of the bracket and used another nut on the choke cable tube for a jam nut . Appears the other carb will require this repair also soon. This is on the bing carbs on the 912

might be worth a try , kind of a pain removing the cables to get the bracket off.

My problem was a little bit different. I purchased a 150 hour engine that didn't have the bent tube assemblies. Rather than pay Rotax for their $45 tubes, I decided to make my own. The 3/16" stainless from my local hobby store worked fine. I inserted a length of 1/8" Nylaflo tubing to reduce the friction on the cable and bent it to shape leaving enough straight on one end to cut 10-32 threads long enough to allow for nuts on each end. On the cable end, I used the telescoping aluminum tubing from the same source and layered up a fitting to accommodate the outer sheath of the cable. I used epoxy to hold the fitting together. In the event of the Nylaflo not being captured sufficiently by the bend, exposed ends could be flared by using a hot piece of metal.
