    As it has been 13 years now I am just remembering that I did need to trim a bit off the hook that reaches around the hinge pin part in order to get it hooked.

    I like the R pins but my compulsiveness would require me to bend it such that the pointy end would lock behind the hinge barrel. I know they would likely never depart the plane but the consequences of a door hitting the tail. Ouch.

    Esser, I'm going with Maxwell's style of pin. The R type aren't as secure and they will scratch the hinge upon removal.
