    Default Rotax 912s Compression Test

I just finished my 200 hour Rotax 912ULS engine inspection/service. I was really amazed at the results of the leak-down compression test. Out of an allowable 25% loss in cylinder pressure due to leakage past the rings and valves my engine tested out at 2.5 to 3.5%. This is probably better than new. I doubt whether a Lycoming or Continental would come even close to this. It sure speaks well of the precision machining and manufacturing of this fine engine.

Also the carb sync was still good, hadn't changed for 100 hours.

Jim- we've seen similar numbers after 1,000 hour of operation. Great engines.
