Maddie n I and Cubtractor went to the event last year,..its a fun day with great on field food,..if you have kids they have bounce houses and other fun stuff to keep the kids entertained,..last year it was too windy for the balloon rides ..hoping this year it works out for them to get in a morning and or evening flight , parachuters and live music..airplane rides for those that drive in and a car show,,

the airport is a grass strip located 10 mile due north of Mt Vernon MO airport west of Springfield MO designation MO9,..watch for paratroopers and AG plane operations in the area
Unicom is 122.9 pattern is left for 18/36 , its deceiving but the power lines are buried at the threshold of 18 ,.so the light poles on each side are alarming but its pretty much a no obstruction approach
