    Default Prop selection SS7 912ULS

The more I read, the more confused I get. I am ready to order the engine and prop for my SS7 build - 912 ULS engine - ground adjustable 3 blade prop. I think I am down to the sensitech 68" and the whirlwind 70". Any opinions here?

    Thanks
    Tom

Can't comment on the Sensitech, but I have a Whirlwind three blade and it is working great on my SS7 with 912ULS. Easy to adjust pitch and no problems

    Dick,
What pitch did you end up with on your Whirlwind and what are you getting for static RPM? I'm just about ready to bolt mine on. I think the instructions that came with said to start with 17 degrees.

    Is it the 70" whirlwind?

Mine is set at 17 degrees, 12 inches in from the tip; RPM is 5600 on takeoff. Yes it is 70 inch 3 blade.

Hopefully before the end of the year I will have a pirep for my new Lonnie Prince prop, 78x48, on my Mangy Fox project.
