    Default 912 floats

Has anyone checked there floats that are not part of the Rotax service bulletin? I have a 912 that was installed in 1997 and does not fall in the S/N range. I had a float problem last year. I checked the floats in my carbs and also the old/bad set. None of them have the markings. I am going to contact Rotax. I hope I can get the floats paid for! 160.00 is a lot of flying time!

I got an email from Rotax Owners, and from reading it I got the impression that they will exchange for new floats free of charge.

My understanding is that they will only replace floats free of charge if they fall in the engine serial # range, or the carburetor serial # range, or if you have a receipt showing purchase of just the floats in the date range.
