    You might put a piece of duck tape over the exhaust ports to keep moist air and anything else out if it is going to be a while before you install the exhaust. You don't want to put a rag or anything in the ports to seal them up. Someone will come along and turn the output shaft. The piston will cut it off.

    Yeah, he tried that trick on me. He walked up to my engine on the stand and said this couldn't be mine...it's too nice looking. I couldn't believe it! I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming!

    The exhaust ports are covered with aluminum tape and the carbs are plugged. I have rubber stoppers for the holes behind the gearbox. As sealed up as I can get it!
