Someone on this forum has a silver/blue paint scheme and i can't remember who. I sprayed some poly spray and i like the look. So im rethinking my plan for white to now be silver. Would like to look at pics. ken

Sliver would look good to.
That's the one! Thanks.
There are a bunch more pictures in my album. I'm happy with the colors. Good luck painting. It's worth all the work.

A thought on silver and blue. We had a guy in our regular flight of six with a silver - close to the polyspray color and blue - sort of a medium blue. He was the guy that was always told to turn on his "blinkers" because it was easy to lose him in the background when we were flying our loose formations on our various trips. Then once as a flight of four we were mistaken for a flight of three by a ground observer. This is not given as advice, but rather as an observation.
I agree, Lowell. Silver is one of the hardest colors to see... it seems to blend in with the sky and the ground. I flew a lot of cross country trips with a friend & his unpainted (aluminum) Thorp. I could lose visual on him easier than any other airplane that I can recall.

I'm going with Yellow and Silver for the visibility reasons. I really don't like Yellow all that much, but I do like the visibility...
I'm doing mine in red and white for visibility reasons. You can see red against the sky whether it is clear or cloudy. If you are looking at it from above you can see red & white against water, forest or the desert (I live in Idaho). If the plane ever goes down this is a great color combination for SAR.
I just finished my first album showing the progress of my paint job. I worked 12 hours today painting and put the red over the white on my fuselage and rudder. Woo hoo, it looks great.
