    Default Smoke System Plumbing suggestions

I have a smoke system I made that uses a 12v submergible pump on my Rotax 912. My reservoir is a 1qt tupperware type vented container. Originally, I plumbed an aluminum line into the #4 exhaust with a brass spray fitting. This worked fine but decided to come up with a better mousetrap. Using a brake line (automobile) I plumbed it directly into the muffler. I did this by welding a bolt onto the flat end of the muffler, a small hold drilled into the muffler and then tighten the brake line fitting into the bolt. The Problem I'm finding now is too much back pressure from the exhaust into the brake line is not allowing the smoke oil to flow.

Those of you that have a smoke system, I would like to hear how you have your system plumbed.

Why not plumb the smoke line directly into the exhaust pipe from the muffler?

    Dick,

I took your suggestion and plumbed it directly into the exhaust pipe. It works but I'm not satisfied with the amount of smoke that comes out. I now plumbed it directly into a cylinder exhaust port and found an increase in the smoke. Thanks for your suggestion.

Do you have some pictures of what you used ? weight of system ?

Does it now produce more smoke than the picture you posted ?

I am curious if someone here had an update on a smoke system smoke output quality? I have heard mixed feelings on the amount of smoke that generates based on the nozzle location. Seems like the most output is when nozzle is closer to cylinder instead muffler.

Anyone have successfully gotten good amounts of smoke?
    Thanks
    Alex
