i'm also looking for a spinner. I like the carbon fiber as well, but would consider any with correct size diameter. so far all I can find is the whirlwind which kitfox sells and im not sure but murle Williams may sell as well. I've seen it advertised as a blank or cut for a 3-blade. I think its about $335.

I used a fiberglass UHS spinner. Carbon fiber would be nice. I had to cut the prop openings myself. It has worked well and wasn't too expensive. What diameter do you need? I can post or email some pics if needed.

I would recommend the Whirlwind carbon spinner; kind of spendy but a very nice spinner that fits the SS7 cowl nicely.

I think my required measurement is 13.3. I see the UHS offers 13.5" and says diameter may vary 1/8 to 1/2" larger. I like the price better but not sure if i want to risk the dimensions being that far off. Maybe they will customize.
I was able to hold tom wade's whirlwind spinner in my hands and it is light as feather, and very nice.
The Whirlwind is 11.3 and is nicely
Done. We sell them for 335.00. It is what we currently use on all the SLSA aircraft.
Ken your cowlings are size for the 11"
Spinner. The Super Sport Continental, Lycoming and the smooth cowl Rotax are sized for the 11"..
Thanks for that clarification john.

Jeeze, Only $335!!! I can make it for TWICE the price!! I have made them before. Although a lot of fun, a lot of work, but if done right and you're careful, it's very rewarding. I started out with a plywood back plate that I stacked up layers of styrofoam. I mounted the plywood on the top wheel of a Du-all band saw and with a template, I turned it to shape. The secret is to cover it with one layer of glass which all the wrinkles have been smoothed out. When that hardens, sand and add another layer. Keep doing this until you four or five layers. The Du-All saw works like a lath, the end result is a spinner that has absolutely no wobble.
Try it.

Wow-thanks for all the input! The cowling front inlets are only 8.5" apart (Skyfox cowl) so what size dia. Spinner should I use? Maybe 8" or 9"?
