    Default Remounting 912 is a *****

I've done this before, removed my 912 from my Kitfox III to repair a cracked motor mount. I had a ***** of a time reinstalling the motor last time. Now I'm having a ***** of a time again. Anybody have an easy way in mind?

Pay someone else to do it? Hahaha!

No - it is a serious pita. I would love to know who came up with that design fwf for the 912 up through the model IV. I'd kick him right in the left knee. Between reversing the carbs and putting the oil tank in the wrong position, it's just a bad setup.

I agree, it is a real pain. I found it easier to attach the mount to the engine, then attach the whole thing to the firewall.

I agree with Bill. Attach the engine to the motor mount.

Start with the two arm or more attachment points, get those bolts started; and then strong-arm the single left (port side) arm in last. I found that once the top two and the right were in, then the bottom, and lastly the left side was the best sequence for mine.
