The only thing I've ever riveted was some sheet metal to shipping containers. This new world of aircraft riveting is strange and exciting...Gawley Gee...Thanks Walt! You sure are a swell guy!
Informative for those who know nothing about riveting...now you do!

Looking at the Model 5 or newer for size!
This film doesn't take into account the smaller head NAS1097 rivets. These have a much smaller head and require a smaller or shallower countersink. Very handy for thin skin work. The top sheet no longer has to be .040 minimum to avoid knife edging the countersink.

Kitfox IV 1050, C180. Now I have two backcountry planes! WooHoo!
For my part.... I had just done pop rivet.... so if NAS1097 rivets is done the same way that the bigger one.... I sould be able the do the task.... I think!!

This is a very good demonstration of flush riveting. Better explained than any manual than I have seen.
