Hello all,
Does anyone know the installed weight of the grove gear on a model 4/1200? I'm looking into replacing my standard gear and want to keep the matco wheels.

When I did the Grove conversion (gear, wheels, brakes and 21x800-6 tires) the over all weight gain on the new weight and balance was 12 pounds.
Well worth it, IMO. I could give up cheese burgers and get that back (but I know I won't ).
Thanks for the info Av8r, I know what mean about the cheese burgers! I was trying to stay with the bungee gear but landing in cross winds on pavement just are no fun at all. How was your ski fly in?

We had one plane fly in, on wheels...
No one, myself included, is in a real hurry to do any more ski flying this year. It's been too cold and now the snow conditions aren't very good for it. Lots of deep snow with buried obstacles.
It was a good meeting , though. We all had a nice time, even if JimS chose to go to WORK instead of having fun...
It's bad when we have too much winter to fly. We had about twelve planes at Northport but nine were our members. It was plenty cold though warmed up to 18 with sun. Looks like warmer day ahead! Yea....
