mounting flaperon bracket on top of covering

Oops! I forgot to not rib lace where the flaperon brackets mount. I've already put my finish tape on the ribs. Im wondering if it will be ok to just slice out the 2 aft rib laces on the top and leave the bottom 2 laces alone. ken

I would cut the stitches, the flaperon bracket will hold the fabric down without them.
