    Default Choke cable mounting

On my early 90's kit the choke cable ends dont fit into the sockets on my carbs on a later model 912ul. The cable has a small diameter on one end which fits into the dash choke assembly but the other end is a larger diameter. It fits perfectly into the throttle socket on the carbs. I would screw those sockets into the little brass tubes, but the screw end is to big. I guess my question is has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you resolve it?

    Thanks Dutch

    Dutch,
I have been wanting to reply - sorry this is so late. You may already have found the solution.

My cables had no molded ends. Bug nuts are available that exactly fit into the fittings at the end of the choke arms. You might try cutting off the molded ends of the cables, and using the bug nuts. They have an added benefit to being infinitely adjustable.
