    Default Stits SA-3B vs. KF

I shamelessly admit this is not kitfox related except for the sake of comparison, and an apples to oranges at that! But we all start somewhere.

Has anyone here flown or built a Stits SA-3B playboy? I came across a partially finished project close to my home that is financially feasible ($2k for the pile w/ Lycoming 0290). It obviously fills a different role than the kitfox, but apparently a decent, well behaved bird.

My goal is still a kitfox but perhaps this project can be a stepping stone to that end. For those who have been down a similar road... your thoughts?

If it's got wings and flies, it's pretty cool in my book.

The fact it's got a tailwheel is just icing on the cake...

Is it the Playboy or Playmate that has folding wings? Very cool mechanism!

My neighbor has one. He says it flies good but he only flies it on the nicest of days. I'm sure he would be happy to show it you if you want to see one up close and personal and give you an accurate pilot report. 44T in Olympia. His name is John and he is the airport manager.
