Default a big day for us

It was a big day for us Sunday as our youngest son soloed in the Kitfox7SS that we recently completed. We were certainly proud of him and I got to see the airplane fly as well as see and hear stuff working such as the radios and wigwags.

Congrats! Looks like a little more fun than the 172 I soloed in.

Great day! The SS looks good and so do the pilots!
Hang on to that shirt tail, these kind of memories are
    priceless. ( I still have mine from 1962, C150)

looks like the same airplane that was posted on VAF. If so, yes it will be a good transition for the RV10. I go back and forth between my rv7A and the kitfox 4 tail wheel. A very nice compliment of aircraft, keeps the big grin on my face no mater what I fly.

It is the same one. I set up the cockpits of the Kitfox and the RV10 somewhat the same (AFS 4500) so going back and forth between them is easy. They are both really wonderful airplanes to fly!

what I did for my situation is put mph for speed indicator in the kitfox and kts for the Rv. has worked out real good for me. I do 70 in both on final.

    Default Knots and MPH

Slyfox, that's too funny. I did the same (knots IAS in the 10 and MPH IAS in the Kitfox) and I use the same numbers on final (70). Climb and cruise are certainly a little different.
