    Default Tools for Startup

How many tools/gauges am I going to need to startup my 912s for the first time and to properly check/calibrate my engine sensors. Do I really need to buy an air compressor to do the initial oil purge? I know there are many things that would be nice to have and make life easier, but I am looking for a minimum list. I can add the "nice-to-have" stuff later on an on-going basis.

You could use an air supply tank. I used my compressor and set the pressure really low when I did that. I hooked it up to the overflow line and ran the input side into a catch basin. If I remember correctly, it was something like 12-14 psi. Worked fine. I pressurized the system till the oil pressure guage started to move up and turned the prop a few times.

It's been several years, so psi and so forth may not be correct.

    Good Luck!
