    Default Power Lines

Beware the hidden (or not so hidden) power lines...

I am glad to see everyone walked away afterwords, this could have ended very badly.

It must be a seasonal thing:

According to the Seattle Post Intelligencer, famed aviator/author Richard Bach snared some power lines with his SeaRey amphib about three miles west of Friday Harbor airport in Washington State's San Juan Islands yesterday, 31 August. Bach's son later said his father was recovering from a head injury and a broken shoulder.

Good to know they are OK. In many places, even small private fields, I saw those orange balls installed on power lines, to make them more noticeable to pilots.
When and where are they required, and when they are not?
