I think the secret is do not trim around your carry throughs until the windshield is installed. That's where everyone seems to break them. It may be counter intuitive, but I also think you should move it by your self. Two people holding it make it hard to get a feel of where the forces are. I installed my windshield in about 2 hours and my doors took probably 4 hours each...maybe more.

Turtle deck is on and strakes attached. The camlocks seem too long. I'm debating bending the tabs slightly or ordering new ones.

Those look like they might be the adjustable ones in your pictures, Josh.

Unfortunately, they aren't. My FWF kit came with adjustable ones but these are solid. Would be nice if they were

Also, does anyone know how much a new seat pan would cost? Inexplicably, mine is missing...I have one more place to look but it doesn't seem promising. There is nothing in the kitfox catalog.

My turtledeck camlocks were too long also, and the deck seemed to fit kind of loosely over the tabs, sooo I glued (Hysol) some big thick plastic washers on each tab to space them out (too far to bend). Now the deck fits nicely and the camlocks are just right.

My camlock females have aluminum spacers between them and the mounting tab. I also bought various lengths of camlock males and found the right lengths to have a nice fit.

Is there a pattern or template for the strakes, if so I could use a copy.

Made the cuffs today. Not the best fit under the wing... this maybe something I redo at some point but considering how much i didn't enjoy it, that will be a task for later.

Kevin, the strakes came with the kit, no template, but I could get you some measurements if you wanted to fab some up.

I think I am pretty much ready to pul the trigger on cutting the panel.

I am trying to decide between CNC and laser cutting. The laser cutting would be nice because I could laser etch it at the same time but I am guessing the whole panel will have to be painted before I send it to be laser cut and etched?

Josh, did you ever address the camloc on the back window? What did you do?
I suspect I will need to do something as well given yours was that way.
