Glad you're able to post and check in here with your people. It sounds like you're doing recovery the hard way. I'm sure being home is a good thing for you. Keep your spirits up and check back in periodically.
Too bad they don't make jigs for people where they could assess the damage, cut out the unusable and weld in some new. Guess you're doing that in a way, but the biological route takes so much longer.
