Oil thermostat

Hi all;
I'm considering installing an oil thremostat on my KF IV (amphib floats) so the engine warms up faster. Any of you have any advice on this, or had any problems with their thermostat?

Hi,
I installed one 2 years ago have had no problems. It did shorten engine warmup times.
I was hoping it would keep temps up in the winter, I think it helps but when it gets -15C taping over the oil cooler is the only way to successfully keep the temps up on my setup. hope this helps.

Sorry for the dumb question, but how and where is the oil thermostat install on a 912ULS? Have heard it discussed, but never got an explanation on how to.

I have one and had no problems with it, kicks in ~200 deg and works fine.

Though the pic shows the unit supported only by the hoses (which is pretty rigid) I did fashion a bracket from flat stock that picks up the two mounting holes and Adel clamps to the frame.

Can anyone tell me where to purchase an oil thermstat that can be used with the Jabiru 2200? Maybe the one for Rotax will fit?
