Why are some KF II's listed at 950 lbs gross weight (mine is) on the weight and balance, but the KF manual says they should be 1050 lbs gross weight.

Roger,
You are correct. What is presented on the Kitfox Aircraft site is, in fact, the factual historical record. I do know that some experimented with their experimentals to obtain additional gross weights. There are some examples in use today that are results of those experiments.
