Where I Fly.

Took a quick overnight trip to Chuckar Flats on the John Day river to watch the Perseid meteor shower.
You can't really see the heard of Antelope on the left end of the runway. They scattered up the valley on final.

Doug and I parked for the show.

After a nice swim in the unbelievably warm river we set up camp for the meteor shower.

This morning we flew up the canyon to another spot on a ranch along the river.

Steve the meteor shower was the best that I've seen. Lucky for us the smoke held off til morning. Jim the superb is our friend Tim. I'll introduce you sometime. This was a really great trip.

Thanks again for the inspiration Scott! Gayle I i drove over to Portland through that area - amazing country. You certainly have some great places to fly the Kitfox! I'm looking forward to posting an Australian series before too much longer ( hopefully)!
