I was just talking about this with my buddy in Perth. I would love to spend a month flying in Australia. I think if the Aussie’s knew anyone who wanted a used Kitfox, I could go look at the one they wanted, buy it, and ship it over at no cost to them with caveat that before the plane is officially sold to them, I use it for my bucket list Aussie flying trip.

This would be a couple years away but you Aussies let me know!!

Well Josh, who knows - that might be an option if I hear of someone asking about Kitfox. I would be nice if I could afford to put a couple on line and rent them out for adventures across Australia. But alas ...

    cheers

No engine start yet! Everything on my plane is so electrical heavy that the engine won’t run until it’s prerty much ready to fly. I’m really seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Had a good few hours last night switching all the 914 sensors to my EFI setup and had a bit of a “holy sh*t” moment when I realized how close I really am. I’m 95% done with a real 5% to go and pretty motivated. Flying to Oshkosh 2018 is a very real possibility.

Good. I'll see you there, along with all the other Team Kitfox Forum members heading there in 2018.

Flew today, 22 degrees F. Five inches of snow that had not been plowed, 6.00 x 6 tires, so it worked ok. Landing rollout was not very long. CHT only got to 105 degrees F, so didn't fly very long. Definitely need more tape on the radiator. Engine was cold, cabin was cold, I was cold, enough is enough. Rotax 912 ULS (zipper kit) engine. 41.4 hours TT, it is a fun airplane.
