    Default Fuel flow sensor location

I'm looking into installing the EI FT-60 fuel flow transducer on my 912ul. What location works well? I would like to install before the fuel pump using just gravity feed. Has anyone done this?

    Thanks.......

    Hi Russ,
I just installed mine so I had this readily available if you have not seen it http://www.fdatasystems.com/Manuals/FT_60_install.pdf

I ended up running my fuel line from the header tank, between the seats and under a console. I mounted the red cube on the floorboard just ahead of the control tubes.
    Have a good weekend,

Great minds think alike ....that's exactly where I was thinking of installing it. Any problems with gravity feed?

I'm using gravity feed only (with engine pump) and mounted my flow sensor just ahead of the fuel cutoff valve in the tunnel. It's mounted to the top of the tunnel plate so the fuel line makes a nice straight line from the shutoff valve to the flow sensor, then a short run forward to the firewall fitting.

That's what I thought. I'll be using it with a EIS 2000. GRI says it's compatible. I hope so.

    Thanks for all the info.

    Hello All

Slightly off topic, but does anyone have experience with the FARIA fuel flow gauges and sensors. They seem to be mainly "boat" applications but has anyone used them and comments?
They are under $200 which just gets the transducer for other brands.

    Thanks,in advance.

Gander Mountain sells them and the 8 reviews are about 50/50 love and hate.

    Savvy/frugal idea!

    akarmy,

I know this is an older thread, but I'm mounting a FT-90 sensor and saw your installation. That is the same location that I'm thinking of. Did you secure the sensor itself to the tunnel or is it suspended by the fuel lines? Any additional photos would be greatly appreciated.
