IVO Medium 3blade 70" on a Cbox 3:1 ratio?

I already have this IVO Medium in-flight-adjustable
in my posession, but have never run it
on my 582 blue head Cbox with 3:1 ratio.
This should run pretty well on a KF model 3 yes?

If I had the low ratio 2.62:1 or the Bbox I don't think I'd
be asking, but I'd think the Cbox 3:1 will power this prop
just great won't it?

I'll take a stab at it Wild ,..I'm thinking you might have a heat problem if you run your pitch up too much , that's allot of prop to turn with 65 hp, not saying it can't be done but most power plants under 100 hp use the ivo light ,..not the medium ivo,.

I bought an IVO ground adjustable last summer for my Model III, 582 with 3:1 gearbox. The recommendation from John and IVO was to go with a 2 blade, 70" medium. It's not flying yet so I can't give any performance feedback.

I don't know why but I had 3 blade prop in my mind ,..a 2 blade would probably work good

Well I can run it either 2 or 3 blade (IVO is trick like that!) but
my 3blade GSC 68" works great, great STOL performance and
wanted at least that good.... but with pitch control. That's why
I was thinking 3blade would be smart? I also got the "2 blade"
reco from IVO.

Anyone run a 2blade IVO on the 582 ? Does it vibrate? I heard
rumor they vibrate....?

Hello, I have a kitfox iv 1050 (currently 912s) that had a 582 blue head on it. I had an IVO ground adjustable 70" prop on a cbox 3:1 ratio. The propeller worked very well, you had to have the pitch at neutral or slightly negative on the pitch. The propeller was very smooth, climb was about1000 ft/min and cruise 85-90 mph at about 6200 rmp. I liked this propeller better than the 3 bladed gsc.

It was a two bladed medium prop, there is no way a 582 will turn a 3 bladed meduim prop. When I purchased this prop from Ivo this was the diameter and model (medium) that was recomended by Ivo. I think that 68 or 69" would have been better suited.
