582 compared to 912S performance ?

Is somebody made an engine updated fron a 582 to a 100 HP ?
On a KF2 if possible
Speed gain in cruise ? Better climbing ?

I suspect there are no model 2's or 3's out there with the 912S but there are some with the 912UL. There was a youtube video a while back comparing 2 similar Kitfoxes, one with a 582 and the other with a 912UL. The 912 was way ahead with much shorter take off and climb. I doubt if there is a huge increase in speed. I'm sure a 912S equipped model 2 would be a rocket but it might be a handfull too. Like shooting squirrels with an elephant gun a 912S in a model 2 might be too much of a good thing. James Thomas

I saw the same Youtube video and the 912 was impressive over the 582, I do know a couple of individuals that put the 85hp Jabaru 2200 in the 2 a 3 and an original Avid, Made a great plane out of all three and they cruise easly at 95 with a climb of 1000 fully loaded. (seen this many times as they fly with me).
