    Default Fox 4

I am considering purchasing a Kitfox 4 but due to my situation I will be keeping the plane at home. I would appreciate it if someone could give me the actual dimensions, height and wings folded? With standard tires. I have a garage bay that is a little wider and longer that normal.
    thank you

Easy to find with a quick online search.

I have done a number of searches, as I stated the two dimensions I was looking for are width with wings folded and height. Such as with three blade prop or two blade.

Wings Folded width is 7 foot 11 inches. If your door is 8foot wide and/or obstructions inside get yourself some Harbour Freight 18 inch dollys.

You will be able to manuver it into and around inside you garage much easier.

Tom, I have read what I could find on line about the size of pilots flying the 4. I am 5’ 11” and 200 lbs. I have never sat in one do you think it would be a good fit for me? And what HP do you have and with two on board is it enough? Thank You

Dan, I'm 6' 2" and 160 pounds and fit just fine.

I had a 52 HP 503 Rotax. I took a lot of flack and got some caustic remarks from members of the old Matronics Kitfox List about the 503. Some even said it wouldn't fly. The installation was plug and play, and it flew just fine and taught me how to fly a low powered plane, but I didn't try to take a heavy passenger off from a short field on a hot day. I sold it a few years ago to a guy that took out the 503 and installed a 65 HP 583 Rotax.

Having said that I would recommend getting a 80 HP 912 if at all possible. Good used ones at a reasonable price com on the market occasionally.
