    Default Early Kitfox/Avid value

I would like to help a widow with the value of an early model (90's) Kitfox/Avid. It has a Rotax 912ul from the same era I think. I have not looked at it yet so I don't have details. But I'm told it is complete but never finished. Any help with a value range is appreciated.

Lot of variables there. Is it a Kitfox or Avid? The Kitfox name is more recognizable. State of completion, hrs on engine, how old of an engine, how it was stored (corrosion??) for both plane and engine. JImChuk

Yeah, I know. I was hoping to be armed with some price range before I go look at it, and then go from there. I'm gonna say it's Avid, early 90's engine and stored in air conditioned workshop.

The earlier 912s had a 100 mm bolt pattern, and the prop boss was about 1 3/8" diameter. Later 912s prop boss is about 1 13/16" diameter. Change came in about 1993 or 4. Are you looking at buying it for yourself, or helping her sell it for a reasonable and fair price? JImChuk

Thanks for the quick responses Jim. I don't believe I need it, so it would be to help her sell at a fair price.
