Thread: SS7 gear leg fit

  1. #1

    Default SS7 gear leg fit

I'm mounting my gear to the fuselage, and the gear leg on the left side slipped perfectly into place... the right side however doesn't fit.

It's off by a good 1/16". Any advice on how to message this into place? Should I remove material from the gear leg where the bushings are to open it up? I have both front and rear mounting blocks finger tight, but that's as close as I can get it.

Well I figured it out... sort of. I hoisted the front of the fuselage high enough to let the gear leg hang straight down... and then with a gentle tap of a dead blow hammer it popped into place. Once in place it rotates up (out?) just fine.

Just saw your post Mike. I think we all had a little problem with the gear, glad you got it in.
